Study Information

You are invited to take part in a study to investigate possible links between visual ability, hand-eye coordination and autistic traits. We would like you to participate as part of a wide sample that can give us a useful picture on this topic - we hope you will take the time to help us. The experiment involves answering a number of short questionnaires; example questions you might be asked include 'Do you avoid hobbies that require good coordination?' and 'Are you good at social chit-chat?'. It might take up to 20 minutes to complete, but you are able to save your answers and come back to complete the rest of the study at a later time. The content of the questionnaires should not be sensitive or upsetting, we are just interested in your experiences. To that end, please do your best to answer as honestly as possible. There are no right answers, just your own.

You are not obliged to participate, and if you do, you may withdraw from the study at any time and without a reason (you may simply close the webpage if you wish, or press the 'Exit and clear survey' button at the bottom of the page). Your personal details are confidential and your answers are anonymous. If you have any questions about the study, you are welcome to email the experimenter and continue later.

We are also offering three £15 prize draws for participation in this study. You will be asked for your email address at the end, which you may choose to provide in order to enter the draw; the winner will be chosen randomly from the pool of participants. Good luck!

As an online participant in this research, you should be aware that there is always risk of intrusion by outside agents (hacking), and therefore the possibility of being identified. However, this is unlikely and we have taken preventative measures against this. This site uses session cookies, which cannot be used to track you or your personal information, but prevent you from participating in this study more than once. Your data are kept as safe as possible.
